External Grant Programs
External funding is available for sponsored projects from state and federal agencies, foundations and industry. At the federal level, for example, the National Science Foundation, the National Institutes of Health, and the Office of Naval Research have provided support to Texas A&M faculty researchers.
The Office of Research Policy and Development Support (Becky H. Holloway, 979-862-3939) and the Texas A&M Research Foundation can provide access to Community of Science, a collaboration of over 200 research universities and other research and development organizations, as well as to documents on government, private and foundation sources of funds.
Researchers should also consult with colleagues, their department heads or associate deans for research for additional information about sponsors specific to their field or discipline.
